Travis has more than 15 years of experience in insolvency and corporate recovery and is a registered liquidator. Travis has developed an excellent technical knowledge of corporate and personal insolvency in that time.

Travis enjoys the challenge of finding solutions to often difficult and complex problems.

In his spare time, Travis spends his time with his young family enjoying the outdoors. He is also a keen golfer and follows many different sporting codes.

Assisting the Liquidator of TFC (2013) Pty Ltd which traded as “Trims”, including the negotiated settlement of a number of “retention of title” claims under the then new PPSR legislation, the organisation of the closing down sale and recovery of a number of unfair preference claims.
Assisting the Court Appointed Receiver to take control of and realise two properties purportedly owned by a cult, one of which was in suburban Melbourne and which did not comply with the necessary building codes. Once the properties were sold the entitlement to the proceeds then had to be determined.
Travis was the Joint and Several Receiver of assets that formally consisted of a dairy farm where the company’s lease had been terminated and access was not originally provided to the assets. The Receivers were able to negotiate access to the assets so that they could be realised with substantial return achieved for the appointor.
Travis assisted the Court Appointed Receivers over a partnership who owned olive farms and an olive oil production facility in country South Australia. The appointment occurred due to a dispute between the partners. This involved the sale of the farms and production facility whilst navigating the various disputes raised by each of the partners as part of the sale campaign.
Travis assisted the Administrators of Vintage Traders Aust Ltd, an unlisted public company. The company had approximately 110 small grape growers with their grapes sold to various wineries and distilleries via a number of different “grower pools”. Ultimately, Travis worked with the Administrators to prepare a Deed of Company Arrangement which saw the growers split into different pools of creditors and an ultimate return of greater than 75 cents in the dollar to the grower creditors.
Travis assisted the Administrators of Hentschke Transport Pty Ltd in a restructure via a Deed of Company Arrangement. The company had approximately 47 employees and 100 trucks and trailers. Travis co-ordinated the review of the security arrangements between the company, a related entity and the financiers to determine whether the security was valid in accordance with the Personal Property Securities Act 2009. Ultimately, a Deed of Company Arrangement was successful and the control of the company was returned to the directors.
